snip snip

I think Max is saying:  I'm so sad because I need a haircut.  Aunt Becca would be very disappointed in my mommy!  ;)
Max checking out Nena as she cut his hair.
Not really the best pic of his hair (it's parted funny) - but at least it has Nena in it!  :)
Hannah took Max's 1 year pics this past week.  I can't wait to see them!

Please keep Aaron's mom, Nancy, in your prayers.  Most of you know, but for those of you who don't, we found out she has stage 3B lung cancer.  Please pray specifically that she hears God's voice as to which path to take for her treatment!  We love you, Nena!!!

I promise we're still here...

Hi y'all!  These pictures aren't the greatest & they don't even include everyone in our family (sorry Max)!  It's that time of year again (well at least every other day in Texas)!  We went to the zoo with the Hurckman family (minus Paul).  I know y'all were wondering when I'd start posting zoo pictures again, right?  ;) Well, guess what?????  We got a family zoo pass this year! Oh yeah, LOTS of zoo blog posts!  ;)
Ok, just kidding & on to the pics of our girls & their friend, Lola!

Not the best pic - but Sophie had a blast!  Candace looks great!  :)
The girls on the butterfly bench (the boys were chillin' in their strollers).
Trying to hug each other & say "cheese".
Our lil' firecracker, Libby
Lola & Sophie
(or as Aaron said as he was calling them:  Lolie & Sopha)
Actually, I don't think we ever made it to any "real" animals.  We hung out in the children's area for a long time & tried to ride the monorail.  FYI - the monorail is closed on the weekdays until sometime in March.

Oh, How He Loves Us!

Five years ago today our sweet little Chloe Marie Cunningham was born.  Most of you all were with us during our "Chloe Season".  She was stillborn at 37 weeks due to anencephaly (a fatal birth defect).  It was the most difficult season we'll hopefully ever have to face, BUT it was such a sweet time with the Lord.  I've never again felt such grace & peace that could only come from the Lord!

For the past several days I've been reading through Ecclesiastes.  So today I opened my Bible & started reading the next chapter, chapter 6.  It was about how a stillborn child is better off than a man who gains everything but doesn't know Jesus because she is at rest in heaven!  I guess I didn't know that  stillborn children were even mentioned in the Bible!?!  I just thought  it was a neat little way that the Lord let me know that He loves me &  is thinking about me today!  He sure has blessed us a lot in the last 5 years, hasn't He?

Here is the best picture I could get of our sweet girls in their rainbow shirts today:

Now that the girls are getting older, I wonder what Chloe would have been like?  Would she have been talkative like Sophie or maybe a lil' firecracker like Libby??  God only knows!  I can't wait to hug & kiss on her one day!!  :)

Happy Birthday, Sweet Chloe!
