Our sweet sweet Sophie likes to talk - a lot! Believe it, or not, I was that way when I was little! I think she talks from sunrise to sunset each day.

On the way to dance, this was our conversation:

Sophie: Mom! Mom!

Me: Yes, Sophie (for the millionth time that day)

Sophie: Ummm... I don't have anything to say.

Me: Hmmm.... oh really?!?!

If you know Sophie, you know her choice of outfits tend to be.......ummm......eclectic!  

I asked her to put something a little warmer on yesterday & this is what she came out in!

August Happenings

We went to the zoo!  Surprise, surprise!  

We took this photo for Papa Geno!  (He works for Target Corporate)

My mom took me out to dinner & shopping for my birthday - 

we had so much fun!!  Unfortunately, we ate at Maggiano's BEFORE shopping :(  

Too full to shop for clothes!

We went to the sprinkler park with this sweet little gal, Hallie 

(& her mom, Dori, of course)!

This is the only pic I got of Max - because he ran away from me the whole time :(  

He could have cared less about the water?!?!  

On the other hand, he LOVED the cement & stairs! 

On August 14th we got together with my brother & his family to remember my dad.  

We ate dinner at Whataburger (this was his favorite place to eat).  

I can't believe it's been a year already...  Max wore a "Dan's Diggers" shirt in his honor.

Sophie made this birthday card for her cousin, Leighton.  I was so proud of her!!  

She did this ALL on her own.   In case you're wondering....  it's Sophie & Leighton playing together in their bathing suits - complete with trees, mice, a sky, & a sun (in the corner of course).  I clearly remember coloring pictures all of the time with a sun up in the corner! 

Our ballerina is back in action!  

She picked out the boots to wear with her dance outfit!

We took a road trip to Colorado to visit Rhett, Rebecca, Fielder, & Cooper!

The best $15 we ever spent....

Sophie ORIGINALLY got these Dora pj's for Christmas 2007.  

Here she is wearing her NEW pj's.  Look how big they are on her.  

She's singing her MDO song:  Ya put your hoooooooves, ya put your hoooooves out....  

Well... along came Christmas 2008 & being the thrifty person I am - I packaged her pj's back up!  (Please don't make fun of me!  She LOVED these pj's!  Plus, she didn't NEED anymore pj's.)

It was so funny to see her open them up!  (I'm not going to lie - I was a little nervous... I thought she may feel a little jipped!)  You would have thought it was her first time to lay eyes on these beloved pj's!  She was soooo excited!  

Here she is wearing them TODAY!  They're too short all over, but she doesn't care!  I think I've even tried to pass them on to her younger cousin, Daisy, but they didn't make it!!

So, my question is........ should I wrap them up for this Christmas????  ;)
